Report ranks Transbank among the world’s 50 best acquirers
Transbank ranked among the top global acquirers in the recently published Nilson Report 2020. The report evaluates the growth of payment ecosystems worldwide, and Transbank placed in the Top 50 for the main categories analyzed.
Each year, the report considers the amounts transacted by the top 150 acquirers worldwide and ranks them based on number of transactions and sales volume. In terms of transactions, Transbank ranked 38th, up one position from last year. In terms of sales volume, it remained steady at 47th.
"The results of the Nilson Report reflect the boom the payments ecosystem has experienced in recent years in Chile. It is evident in the growth of the number of merchants that accept electronic payments and users who prefer to pay by card, as well as greater competition,"

For 14 years, the Nilson Report has published progress and statistics on credit, debit and prepaid card issuers, acquirers and technology providers from 150 issuers in more than 118 countries.
